Computing aims to ensure that all pupils:

  • can understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science, including abstraction, logic, algorithms and data representation
  • can analyse problems in computational terms, and have repeated practical experience of writing computer programs in order to solve such problems
  • can evaluate and apply information technology, including new or unfamiliar technologies, analytically to solve problems
  • are responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology

We have laptops for the children as well as a computer in each classroom.

We are connected to the Internet through Broadband and use a filter system to protect our children.

We aim to provide children with the skills necessary to engage in learning in the 21st century. Each child must be digitally literate- that is the key vision from our subject leader.

All classes are equipped with interactive white boards and projectors which provide great enrichment for our children.

The children are actively encouraged to use their wide range of embedded I.C.T. skills within other subjects, where appropriate.

We endeavour to use a wide range of different software to reflect the continually growing and diverse needs of those living within the multimedia age.
