Good Morning,

As you are aware, we have had to make many amendments as to how we operate our shop through Covid-19. From March 23rd we made the decision to close until further notice to ensure our staff and customers were not put at any risk. However, since the announcement from Boris Johnson, which highlighted primary pupils will gradually start attending school again from the beginning of June, we have had to look at what we can do to ensure the safety of our staff and customers..

We have made it mandatory that from when we open again, all staff will be required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to avoid any potential spread of infection and to ensure customers feel less anxious when in store. We have also placed a plastic shield in front of our counter.

We will also only be allowing a maximum of 2 customers in the shop at one time; customers will have to maintain a 2 metre distance. We politely request that partners/children be left at home if at all possible. We will only be accepting card payments, NO cash will be accepted.

Customers will be unable to try items of school clothing on until further notice. This is to avoid any potential spread of the virus. For estimate sizing, a member of staff will hold the garment up to the child. We have also advised that the new intake should NOT buy new school uniform until late July due to the current situation.

Should a customer be experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, they should stay away from the shop. To avoid this happening, we have reduced the price limit for free delivery to £50 which encourages parents to not make unessential visits.

Our opening times are to be reduced to start with. As we gradually go along, we will introduce longer opening hours.

We politely request that customers abide by the above guidelines we have put in place and that we work together to maintain an atmosphere of tolerance and respect in the shop.

If you feel we have missed anything, please feel free to advise us on anything we can add.

Please may you add this information onto your website and newsletters.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Garry, Chris and the CJI Team.
